Dr Michael C C Ho graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree (Computer Science) with honours at the University of Sydney in 1983 and then again with Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 1990 also from the University of Sydney. In his final honours year of computer science his research was in the area of robotics control. He was the inaugural University of Sydney winner of the Oral-B Foundation Award for Research in Preventive Dentistry in his final year of dentistry. His research topic was on the applications of technology in dentistry. This combination of degrees has enabled Dr Michael Ho to incorporate many cutting edge technologies into his practice thus delivering dentistry at a level of quality and comfort which his patients have come to expect.

One such technology is the E4D CAD-CAM machine which is capable of delivering in a single appointment highly aesthetic and durable porcelain/ceramic restoration (www.d4dtech.com). Dr Michael Ho is the Australian and New Zealand trainer for the E4D CADCAM technology.

Dr Michael Ho had been associated with the Dental Professional practice at Lane Cove from the time he graduated in 1990 taking over the running of the practice from his brother Dr Kenneth Ho as the principal dentist in Lane Cove in May of 2005.
In his first few years in private practice Dr Michael Ho gained much experience in many other varied surgeries and mentors including Neutral Bay, Dee Why and Terrigal. For three years Dr Michael Ho did emergency work for the Pennant Hills area. His varied experiences have given him many valuable skills in patient management. Over the years Dr Michael Ho’s training has included orthodontics, implant, neuromuscular/TMJ and Cad-Cam dentistry among other areas. He is committed to continuing education to keep up to date so that he can provide the widest range of options of treatment for his patients.

Dr Caroline Nguyen graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Sydney with first class honours in 2003. In her graduating year she also received the award for Preventive Dentistry.

A few weeks later she started working at Topgum Dental Professional Lane Cove and has been an important member of the team ever since. Dr Nguyen is accomplished in the latest technologies within the surgery including CAD-CAM and laser dentistry. She also offers outstanding preventative oral health care to all our patients and has a keen interest in Orthodontics and Periodontics. She is a particular favourite with our nervous patients and fantastic with children because of her gentle and understanding nature.

Apart from a full time position within Topgum Dental Professional, Dr Nguyen is a Clinical Tutor at the Sydney University Faculty of Dentistry helping to train future dentists. She is also a clinical examiner for the Australian Dental Council.

Dr Nguyen is always dedicated to increasing her skill and has attended numerous continuing education courses both in Australia and overseas to provide the highest standard of dental care. In addition she has a keen interest in people and is a Master Practitioner in Neuro-linguistic Programming. Dr Nguyen incorporates this into daily practice with her excellent management and communication skills.

She has a high commitment not just to patients but the dental community being a councillor for the Australian Dental Association (NSW branch), a past president of the Australian Asian Association of Dentists and a committee member of both the Prosthodontics Society and the Recent Graduate Committee.
