Dr Nick Hocking (Practice Principal)
Dr Nicholas Hocking completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at Adelaide University before moving to London where he acquired two Masters Degrees. The first was in Conservative Dentistry passing with two distinctions, and the second Masters Degree in Clinical Dentistry (Prosthodontics), both at the Eastman Institute of Dental Surgery. He then lectured for the year course in Implant Dentistry, also at the Eastman Institute.
Dr Hocking has been an associate lecturer in fixed Prosthodontics at the University of Sydney, Westmead, lecturer and an organising committee member for the Diploma in clinical dentistry (oral implants). He is co-coordinator of the extended “Advanced Crown and Bridge and Veneers” course, run by the Department of Continuing Education, Sydney Uni. Dr Hocking speaks fluent Japanese after living in Japan for a year as a Rotary exchange student. Most of his dental team are Japanese, including Emiko-san, his practice manager (who makes the best deep fried pork spring rolls you have ever tasted!)
Dr Nick Hocking has placed over 5,000 implants, in both hospital and private practice setting. He lectures on subjects such as Implant supported restorative dentistry, microscopes in restorative dentistry, and the Clinical technical interface, in Australia, New Zealand, and the UK.
Dr Hocking is the dental ambassador for the ‘Bright Smiles’ program, a fantastic initiative which provides dental care for those children in need of dental care.
Nick is a serious foodie, tennis nut, and a mediocre but keen windsurfer.

Heidy Easter
Heidy Easter has been practicing dental hygiene since graduating from Curtin University in Western Australia in 1997. Heidy has always had a keen interest in implant rehabilitation, which led her to work with Perth’s most prestigious clinicians in the field, gaining extensive experience in implant dentistry, as a surgical assistant and hygienist helping patients maintain optimum oral health.
Heidy now lives in Sydney and has worked alongside a range of specialist periodontists and prosthodontists and is actively involved in ongoing educational programs to improve her skills in preventive dentistry.
Heidy’s warm, caring and dedicated attitude to patients makes her a valuable addition to the Sydney Dental Implants team.
