Having been practising in Double Bay for over 25 years, Dr David Carr has always been an innovator. He has an incredible penchant for aesthetics and a pursuit of excellence in all things, especially in his profession.
Known for providing many famous Australians with their smiles, Dr David Carr is highly reputable for achieving stunning results for many celebrities. He is currently being featured as one of the resident dentists on the Aussie style makeover show ‘10 Years Younger in 10 Days’.
After being involved in a serious car accident which restricted his movement considerably, he was forced to develop his own technique of “six handed dentistry” requiring an extra nurse at his right side to place everything into his fingers.
This gives him total focus upon the tooth and nothing else is within his vision. The intensive approach also means that you can have your treatment case completed with the minimum time away from your busy life.
Today David actually has two nurses at his side at all times, plus a “hovering nurse” who stands behind the trio and passes all extra instruments from outside their field.
Dr Carr was one of the pioneers of porcelain laminate veneers in Australia and has also led the trend to whiter smiles by introducing the ZOOM! Process into his practice, with outstanding results in a very short time. This technique whitens teeth, many shades lighter in an hour!
