The Institute for Dental Implants is a purpose built practice specialising in teaching, placing and restoring dental implants established by Dr Christopher Ho.
On the cutting edge of dental implantology Dr Christopher Ho is a sought after implant dentist, international speaker and acclaimed teacher and lectures all over the world in the field of Implant Dentistry and Aesthetic Dentistry. A success rate of over 98% with long-term follow-up speaks for itself with thousands of teeth restored with denture, dental implant crowns and bridges, many in difficult cases involving extensive bone and soft tissue grafting.
This experience and expertise helps provide both the patient and referring dentist with the secure knowledge of being in safe and capable hands.
We understand how teeth play an important role in our overall quality of life, that they give us the ability to live life to its fullest by enabling us to speak clearly, enjoy eating and laugh with confidence. The importance of our teeth becomes apparent when we lose one or more of them or when their replacement in the form of conventional bridges or dentures affects our confidence.

Dentist profiles
Dr. Christopher Ho (Practice Principal)
Graduated with First Class Honours at the University of Sydney in 1994 and completed his Graduate Diploma in Oral Implants in 2001. He is currently undertaking a Masters degree in Clinical Dentistry at the prestigious Kings College, London and has also attended courses at the UCLA College of Dentistry.
Dr. Ho has been widely featured in the media, as well as having published extensively in dental journals. He is a nationally and internationally recognised lecturer and author on implants, aesthetic and restorative dentistry and his techniques are regularly presented to dental professionals around the world. Dr. Ho has performed over 3000 implant procedures.
He has been trained in multiple implant systems, including the Branemark, Nobel Replace, Nobel Active, AstraTech systems. He is involved with all aspects of implant treatment performing both surgical and prosthodontic phases of treatment.
Dr. Ho is a member of the Australasian Osseo-integration Society (Dental Implants), Australian Dental Association and the prestigious American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

Dr. Martin Nash - BDS (Sydney)
Dr. Martin Nash is a highly experienced and committed dentist who is an excellent fit with our high standards and patient friendly philosophy.
He has practiced in London and ran his own successful practice in Westmead for many years. Dr. Nash believes that good communication and patient involvement in treatment is one of the most important aspects of providing a high level of care.
As a member of The Endodontic Society, The Australian Dental Association and The Australian Asian Association of Dentists, he has a strong commitment to continuing education and keeping up to speed in all aspects of Dentistry. Participation in recent and ongoing courses & seminars in restorative, endodontic, periodontic & implant dentistry ensure a fully modern and up to date approach.
Dr. Firoz Vellani - MBBS
Dr. Firoz Vellani attained his medical degree in 1992 from the University of Sydney. He went on to do further training in the fields of Anaesthetics, Intensive Care Medicine and Emergency Medicine. Dr. Vellani has over 10 years experience in providing dental sedation. He developed a special interest in this area and currently provides this service to many leading dentists and dental specialists in Sydney – including oral surgeons, endodontists and prosthodontists.
He also has extensive experience in providing sedation for patients undergoing dental implants. Dr. Vellani also practices Emergency Medicine in two busy Emergency Departments in the Sydney area. Dr. Vellani supervises sedation procedures at Dentistry by design.
Dr. John Vassiliadis - MBBS, FACEM
Dr. Vassiliadis is an Emergency Medicine Specialist who is currently working at Royal North Shore Hospital. He trained and was a specialist at Westmead Hospital. He has had training in sedation, anaesthesia, trauma management, trauma ultrasound and toxicology. Currently he is also a Lieutenant Commander in the Royal Australian Navy Reserves and recently was part of Australia’s medical relief force that was sent to Indonesia after the Tsunami.
He has a keen interest in medical education and is involved in training doctors at all levels. Dr. Vassiliadis supervises sedation procedures at Dentistry by design.
