Dentist Profiles
Dr Bernard Colantoni (Practice Principal)
Dr Bernard Colantoni graduated from Sydney University in 1975. He practiced in London (off Eaton Square near Chelsea) as well as in the North Shore and Eastern Suburbs (Double Bay) of Sydney before setting up a branch in Hobart in 1993.
He commuted between Double Bay and Hobart until 1996, when he made Hobart his permanent and only home.
Dr Colantoni has numbered many well-known Australian and international personalities as his patients, many of whom still fly to Hobart for reviews.
He has done many presentations on dental aesthetics and dental imaging as well as being a founding member of the Australian Society of Dental Aesthetics (NSW Branch.
Dr Colantoni was one of the first practitioners of porcelain veneers in Sydney in 1989 and performed tooth whitening procedures from 1987 to the present day. He performed his first implant procedures in 1977 and has done between 1500 and 2000 implant restorations.
He keeps his professional edge and motivation by attending many, many professional courses every year. He maintains that he is lucky that his true passion in life (other than his wife and three daughters) is his profession.
