This young lady had uneven and unusual shaped teeth. Natasha’s broken down metallic restorations were also causing her discomfort and a strange metallic taste.
Treatment Provided
Photos and Radiographic records
Photos and radiographic records were taken to allow accurate assessment of the existing dentition (development and arrangement of teeth in his mouth) and to give Natasha a visual view of the treatment needed.
Preventative care (Dental prophylaxis)
Deep scaling and polishing to remove the buildup of heavy plaque (also known as calculus and tartar) and staining on Natasha’s teeth, helping prevent cavities and gum disease.
Oral hygiene routine
Cariscreen and caries free rinse program. Custom trays of GC tooth mousse were created for home use, which will help prevent tooth decay (that can lead to cavities, pain, tooth loss and infection) and minimise intrinsic staining (white specs on teeth).
White fillings
To rejuvenate Natasha’s teeth, broken amalgam fillings were replaced with white fillings for a more natural, comfortable smile. Porcelain onlays were created for a more functional, longer lasting and aesthetic appearance.
Teeth whitening
BriteSmile whitening system was used to whiten Natasha’s teeth. Custom trays were also made to give Natasha a whitening maintenance program to take home to help sustain her whiter smile.
RESULTS – A restored smile for a brighter more youthful appearance. .

Michael’s last visit to the dentist was 4 years ago. Michael stated that he “is not happy with his entire smile”.
Treatment Provided
Digital Panoramic Radiograph
On initial consultation a Digital Panoramic X-ray was taken. This enables dentists and their patients to get a complete, detailed picture of what treatment is required.
Preventative care (Dental prophylaxis)
Deep scaling and polishing to remove the buildup of heavy plaque (also known as calculus and tartar) and staining on Michael’s teeth, helping prevent cavities, further tooth loss and gum disease.
Gum lifts
Gum lifts performed on upper and lower arches to provided a balanced gum line.
Tooth extraction
Extraction of his anterior tooth due to decay.
Elastodontic therapy
Performed to make space to re-bond his own tooth in the space that was created. Michael’s tooth was re-bonded and stabilised into its position, with a fine orthodontic wire.
Balancing the smile
Odontoplasty to recontour his own natural teeth to create a more cosmetically balanced smile.
Teeth Whitening
ZOOM whitening with “Power start swabs” was performed (which improve the whitening effect and reduce sensitivity).
Removal of wisdom teeth
Extractions of wisdom teeth roots that were never removed during his previous dental treatment.
RESULTS – Healthy, more balanced teeth.
